"Hello darkness my old friend ..."

Hush, hush, whisper who dares - next week is Noise Action Week, and in celebration (if that's the word), we've put together a list of related books and dvds we've got in stock that may be of interest to discerning readers.

And for those of you who enjoy a little spirituality with your silence, we have two critically acclaimed dvd documentaries in stock.
And as for music - well, there's always John Cage's 4'33".

If anyone can think of any other interesting and appropriate material, please let us know.

  1. Sunday Times Film Pick is The Great white silence.
1924 anthology of footage of Scott's Antarctic expedition. 5 stars but doesn't mention DVD as yet.
Looks interesting and features "eerie modernist music dotted with appropriate found sounds."

Hi Emma, I have seen it, but had forgotten all about it. I'll Tweet or blog it soon. Thanks.
